Sewage or wastewater
Water that goes down our sinks, showers, toilets, or is used in the
washing machine and dishwasher is called wastewater. Wastewater is simply
water that we have used. Even if water is totally clean (like if you just
turn the sink on and let it run), once it goes down the drain it becomes
wastewater.
