The City of Tacoma's Web site was designed to support Microsoft Internet
Explorer 4.0 and above, and Netscape Navigator 3.0 and above. The site is
best viewed with your system set to 256 colors or higher, and monitor
resolution of 600x800. Some features will require that you have JavaScript
enabled on your browser as well as the Flash plug-in available for free from
Macromedia.
Link Policy
The City of Tacoma pages contain links to other Web sites. The City of
Tacoma has not reviewed information contained on sites linked from any City
of Tacoma page for accuracy or legal sufficiency. Links to other information
or organizations are provided for convenience and do not constitute an
endorsement. The City is providing these links only as a convenience to you.
Allowable links:

Other
governments and educational institutions, including individual school
Web sites.

Non-profit or
public organizations that have some relationship to the City, usually
contractual. (Tacoma provides many of its services, particularly in the
Human Services area, through non-profit organizations).

Generally
recognized community councils and organizations. If there is a question
about the organization, the Web Editorial Board will be consulted.

Arts,
cultural, sports, major festivals and similar organizations of general
interest to Tacoma citizens. With the exception of sports teams, such
links are generally to non-profit organizations. Where individual
organizations do not have Web pages, we may link to a site that has
general information about, for example, Tacoma Opera or bicycling
events.

employment information in the Tacoma area.

Tourist
information, principally from the Tacoma Pierce County Convention and
Visitors Bureau; Web sites of major tourist attractions.

The City of
Tacoma does not generally link to:

commercial sites. However, non-profit organizations with sites on the
City's server may include links to member or sponsor organizations. The
City of Tacoma can, if deemed appropriate, include links to business
sites if they are presented as part of a neighborhood economic
development section for a target area for City programs.

personal home pages.

sites, although departments may include links to public interest
associations and similar organizations.

Establishments that sell, or otherwise offer, x-rated, r-rated or other
